Scott Arfield has been tipped as a potential 'super signing' for the likes of Hearts or Aberdeen after saying his final goodbye at Ibrox last night.
The midfielder will depart Rangers at the end of his contract as one of five members of the first-team squad as a new era begins under Michael Beale. The 34-year-old was given a fantastic reception alongside Allan McGregor, Alfredo Morelos, Filip Helander and Ryan Kent as they made a final appearance in Govan.
On the pitch, McGregor and Morelos started with Arfield coming off the bench as the two sides played out a 2-2 draw. Hearts scored in the first and last minute to secure a share of the spoils after Todd Cantwell levelled - his fourth in four games - before Fashion Sakala capitalised on an error at the back at the start of the second period.

The Rangers support had a banner to honour Arfield as he came on the pitch and as he bows out, pundit Neil McCann - who is a huge fan of the veteran - reckons he would be a top signing for a Hearts or Aberdeen ahead of next season.
Speaking to BBC Sportscene, he said: "I love Scott [Arfield]. I think he has been a magnificent servant coming up from Burnley.
"He wasn't at the starting point of his career. People might have said he was on the way down but I think he has performed brilliantly.
"He would be another super signing for someone like Hearts or Aberdeen maybe.
"They've been good servants to the club and it is a wonderful send off. Not many players get the opportunity to do that."
Quizzed on his future on Sky Sports, Arfield admitted he'd like to play until he is 40 and will listen to any opportunities. He said: "I don't know. I need to go an wait and see what comes up. I'm open to everything.
"I just want to be happy, I want to continue playing. I said when I was 16 years of age I wanted to try and play until 40, that's not changed.
"Until somebody tells me I'm not good enough or I get an injury that's going to keep me out I'm going to continue as long as I can.
"This is where I am at my happiest, when I am playing football and I am enjoying myself - long may it continue."
