People have been warned about the potential risk of travelling abroad for cheaper cosmetic dental treatment. The trend is dubbed 'Turkey teeth' as people are choosing to go to countries such as Turkey for the work.
And while it may be cheaper going abroad for the work, it can lead to long-term problems if the work is not carried out properly. There is also a warning that some people don't know exactly what the treatment involved, Liverpool Echo reports.
People are travelling for veneers - a wafer-thin covering for the frong of the tooth - but end up having more invasive treatment such as crowns where the tooth is filed down and a fake tooth 'cap' added.
