Denise Welch sends The 1975 fans wild and has 'Evita moment' as she goes to see son Matt Healy

Denise Welch was taken aback by the crazy reaction she got from The 1975 fans on Sunday night, as she headed to see son Matt Healy's band in action at their huge gig at Finsbury Park.

Having wowed audiences across the country earlier this year on their arena tour, Matt and his bandmates played one of the biggest shows of their career to date in London, with proud parents Denise and ex Tim Healy in the crowd to see them. Denise, who was also joined by husband Lincoln Townley and TV pals Linda Robson and Kate Thornton, is no stranger to getting a warm welcome from fans of her eldest's group.

At the start of the year, as The 1975 kicked off their tour with a packed out gig in Brighton, Denise got a reception fit for royalty, when she was spotted in hear seat in the balcony, above the many fans below. Denise joked she had her 'Eva Peron moment' as fans shouted her name and the reaction went up a few notches as tens of thousands of fans flocked to Finsbury.

Loose Women star Denise uploaded a video of fans screaming for her to her Instagram as she remarked: "This is ridiculous! Don't cry for me Finsbury Park," as the camera panned to the many people below, with the cheering for her getting louder and louder. As soon as posted the clip on her Insta grid, with the cheeky caption 'My adoring fans also enjoyed The 1975' the comments came flooding in, with one 1975 fan telling her: "you birthed the messiah" and a second replying: "The headliner we all came to really watch!"

Denise later posted a photo of Tim and Lincoln with Matt, captioning it 'Proud Dads', before uploading another montage of photos, including a very sweet one of her and her rock star son, as more fans commented, including one who wrote: "A dream come true. Eight hours stood in the pit, worth every ache and not being able to walk properly for a week! Bet you are the most proud mumma ever."
