Denise Welch in Loose Women spat on Twitter during show as she issues defiant response to critic

Denise Welch has hit back at a Loose Women critic with a defiant response on Twitter, replying to the post while the ITV show was actually on air.

For the second day in succession, former Coronation Street and Waterloo Road actress Denise was on the panel of the lunchtime discussion show, joining host Ruth Langsford and co-stars Janet Street-Porter and Kelle Bryan for the hour long live broadcast, which began with a discussion about Thomas Markle's TV interview in which he said he wouldn't be 'buried' by daughter Meghan, after years of not seeing her and their family feud becoming headline news.

A long-standing supporter of both Meghan and her husband, Prince Harry, Denise a day after taking a public stand against King Charles, once again defended the Duchess of Sussex, relating her predicanant to a close friend who also doesn't speak to her father.

oLater on in the show, North East born star Denise ppened up about her fear of flying, reliving how terrified she used to be taking the short domestic flights from Newcastle to Norwich, when Loose Women was filmed there in its early days.

But one person clearly not a fan of the show or what Denise had to say was a Twitter user, who made their feelings abundantly clear during the show, by posting: "Unbearable these lot mind, feeding off the little cheers from the audience. Denise the worst by far as well"

Denise wasted no time at all in firing back a response, not even waiting until the show had finished to reply: "There’s an off button John. Ask mum to help you," with her comment quickly gaining support from her own followers. One commented: "I just love you Denise! Not afraid to say it as it is," with another reacting: "Got to say I loved that response :) well done."

Denise also shared a tweet in favour of her views on Meghan, with it reading: "At last someone talking sense. We only know what the Markles have told us. There has to be so much more to this!
