Denise Welch will be missing from Loose Women over the coming weeks as the ITV panellist has confirmed a break from the discussion show.
On Monday, she announced a temporary absence from the panel and a break from social media.
The news comes after her son and The 1975 frontman Matty Healy's romance to Taylor Swift reportedly heats up.
Sharing a video on Instagram, she said: "Well... on today, on my 65th birthday, I want to say thank you in advance for all the lovely messages and comments that I've received.
"I'm going off on a little adventure for a couple of weeks so I'm going to be off here and off my phone.
"I don't quite know how I'm going to cope, but I'm going to give it a try, so don't think I have disappeared. It's just a temporary little holiday and I'll be back soon."
Denise's birthday, May 22, is also the anniversary of her mother Annie's death.
In the video, she continued: "For those missing their mums, I'm thinking of you. It's a full circle.
"She brought me into the world on the 22nd of May and she left the world holding mine and my sister's hand on the 22nd of May, so it's a celebration of life as well."
She later added in her caption: 'Thank you and au revoir for a couple of weeks!!!"
Denise first joined Loose Women as a panellist in 2005 before leaving in 2013 and subsequently returning in 2018.
It's understood she will be going away with her husband, and PR manager, Lincoln Townley, who she has been married to since 2013.
Denise's announcement comes after it was reported her son Matty may be set to help his new rumoured girlfriend Taylor write music for her new album.
An insider said: "Things are moving fast between Matty and Taylor. They’re totally head over heels for each other. It’s been decided that he will help her pen songs for her next album and he might even provide some vocals if it works for the tracks."
"Matty has been inspired after attending several shows on her US tour, but they won’t have a lot of time to work together this summer as The 1975 also have their own shows," an insider told The Sun.
Matty has been spotted in the audience of several of Taylor's concerts in America after rumours circulated the pair were together romantically earlier this month.
