Denise Van Outen has opened up about the moment she discovered that her ex-fiancé Eddie Boxhall had been having an online affair behind her back – and what happened when she confronted the other woman.
Earlier this year, fans were shocked when the TV star confirmed her seven-year romance with 46-year-old Eddie had ended.
Details then emerged which suggested that Eddie has been unfaithful while in his relationship with Denise as it was claimed he had enjoyed online sex sessions with other women.
This came as a surprise to fans as the couple appeared to be loved up when they starred in Channel 4's Celebrity Gogglebox.
Following the news, Denise decided to throw Eddie out of her house and cut all ties with him and only recently Denise has given more details on the events in her new autobiography.
The Sun on Sunday has shared sections of the bombshell new book which is titled A Bit Of Me: From Basildon To Broadway and Back, and it is available to buy now.
Extracts shared by the publication this weekend reveal the moment Denise was heartbroken to piece together deceit as she turned into an amateur detective to uncover his lies.
Denise writes that she was tipped off that Eddie may have been having online sex when she noticed a comment on Instagram.
Following some research, she uncovered an Instagram user whose account had been blocked by Denises – even thought the Celebrity Gogglebox star had never interacted with the woman before.
The TV star then unblocked the woman’s account and messaged her to ask her if she knew Eddie – with the woman retiring that she was surprised Denise had suddenly unblocked her.
She then came to the conclusion that Eddie may have accessed her phone in order to block the other woman on Denise’s own account so that she couldn’t message her.
She wrote: “Her name was Tracy and she had apparently spoken to Eddie over FaceTime and text for a long period — often from our home and sometimes from my flat in Hampstead, which she seemed to think was his.
“They’d never met in person, but she said the conversations had become sexual reasonably quickly. Some of the stuff I found on the phone seemed to support that.
“However she was upset with Eddie by then, because he had apparently ghosted her. ‘I hope you'."
Denise then goes on to admit she was shocked that the other woman thought she hadn’t done anything wrong and was “hurt” that the other woman had been conducting an online relationship with Eddie “over a long period”.
She also gave details of discovering deleted photos of another woman’s breasts on Eddie’s iPad which she considered the “biggest red flag of all” that he was not being honest.
Denise was previously married to singer and actor Lee Mead, 40 – tying the know in 2009, splitting in 2013, and finalising their divorce in 2015.
The couple share an 11-year-old daughter named Betsy.
Denise was previously engaged to Jamiroquai singer Jay Kay, 52 – with the Virtual Insanity singer popping the question in after initially beginning dating in 1998, but they split in 2001 before the wedding ever happened.
