Denise Van Outen has opened up about painful split from ex-fiancé Eddie Boxshall

The TV presenter, 48, has had to pick herself up after calling time on her seven-year relationship with the commodities trader, 49, in January.
Appearing as a guest on long-term friend Ferne Cottton’s Happy Place podcast, she said of her heartbreak: “It’s the worst. It’s horrible.”
She added: “It doesn’t matter who you are or where you are it hurts just as deep.”
The mum-of-one was inundated with support from both women and men who had experienced infidelity after it was revealed Boxshall had been sending text messages of a sexual nature behind her back.
Ms Van Outen admitted she found the nights following the split were the hardest.
She said: “Those nights of just sitting there on the patio 3/4 o’clock in the morning feeling drained and empty and thinking I don’t know how I’m going to get through the next week because enough feel so broken, it’s horrible.
“It hurts. I couldn’t breathe, I phoned one of my friends one night and I felt like someone was sitting on my chest, literally could not breathe, you get that knot in your stomach, and it wont go, and you’re like when will this feeling leave me?”
The former Neighbours star went on to tell how she has recently turned to therapy for the first time ever after finding her self “literally flawed” by her relationship ending.
Giving an update on how she is doing now, she admitted she still had some healing to do.
“I’m good actually.. I’m not fully healed. I’m getting there,” she assured.
It comes after Mr Boxshall admitted he was “deeply sorry” for breaking Ms Van Outen’s trust during their relationship.
He told The Sun: “I hurt Denise, I broke her trust and I’m deeply sorry. I’m sitting here to say I hold my hands up to what I’ve done wrong. I deeply regret that I sent those messages.
“I’ve tried to apologise to Denise. I’ve sent her untold messages on text, on email, saying that I love her and that I’m sorry for what I’ve done — that I’m embarrassed and I’m ashamed.
“I’ve not been in a good place for six months — I’ve even turned to alcohol to help me cope. I knew my actions had broken us. But I still hoped that our seven-year relationship was strong enough to withstand a mistake I made at a very dark time in my life.
“As far as Denise is concerned, the trust between us is broken and I have to respect that.”
