Denise Van Outen's ex Eddie Boxshall appeared to make a brutal comment about their romance in a social media post.
The duo, who had starred together on Channel 4's Celebrity Gogglebox, split in January, much to the surprise of their fans.
And though Eddie hasn't spoken out about the ending of the seven-year relationship, he has taken to social media to express himself in recent days.
And as The Mirror report, there could be a reference to the split hidden inside his posts.
His latest Instagram post suggests he felt 'lonely' during his time with the TV star.
The Essex native posted a picture of a post-it note baring a cryptic note to his Story.
"I'd rather be alone than with someone who makes me feel lonely," read the handwritten message.
Eddie then shared another message which said: "Due to personal reasons... I'm gonna focus on myself, my inner peace and what I'm going to eat later."
Eddie's jibe comes after comments from Denise resurfaced about 'not giving enough' to their relationship.
Appearing on the Before We Say I Do podcast last year, Denise admitted she flirts more at work than she did at home.
"I'm very aware of me putting us in situations where I'm not giving enough. I'm not as affectionate as I should be and I feel like I've lost my way a little bit within the relationship.
"It's a good relationship but I think it could be better if we take the time to discuss what is bothering us about each other so we can move forward," she said.
Denise and Eddie had been planning to get married later this year.
However, the former Big Breakfast host joked in an interview with the Mirror weeks before her split was announced that she'd rather spend money on revamping her garden than a wedding.
Denise also cracked jokes about her sex life with Eddie as they appeared together on Celebrity Gogglebox last year.
As the pair sat on the sofa to watch the Channel 4 show Sex In Lockdown: Keep S**gging And Carry On, Denise dropped some savage comments about how she'd prefer to go shopping than get into bed with Eddie.
She said: "I've got to be honest, at the beginning maybe [our sex life did change] but not now Boris has eased the lockdown. I'd rather go shopping!"
