Denise Van Outen is reportedly not very happy with her former flame Eddie Boxshall pursuing a showbiz career.
The pair, both 47, ended their seven and a half year relationship in January, and during their time together he became her go-to red carpet date and even starred on Gogglebox with actress Denise.
And now, DJ Eddie reportedly plans to join the celeb circuit as a name in his own right after "enjoying" being in the limelight as Denise's partner.
The commodities trader is said to be reaching out to celeb reps to "kickstart his career" which has left famous face Denise "shocked" and "fuming."
“Eddie has approached well-known publicists to represent him and help kickstart his career. Denise is shocked and naturally fuming about it all," a source shared with new! magazine.
They added: "He enjoyed the lifestyle Denise gave him, He enjoyed being the other half of a celebrity and now they’re not together any more he’s looking to take advantage of that."
Another insider also added: "Denise made Eddie famous and now he’s hooked on it."
The Mirror have approached a representative for Denise Van Outen for comment.
Today, Eddie unexpectedly reflected on his split from West End star Denise as he praised her to mark International Women's Day.
He took to his Instagram Stories on Tuesday to share that despite him and Denise no longer being together that he commended her for being the "most driven woman in her business".
He also admitted that his seven and a half years relationship with the beauty was "wonderful."
Eddie also praised Denise for being an "amazing mummy" to her 11-year-old daughter Betsy - who she shares with former beau Lee Mead.
Recently single Eddie uploaded a capture of Essex native Denise on his Instagram Stories and confessed that he is not happy that they are no longer an item.
He penned: "Regardless of us sadly going our separate ways I have to acknowledge that in our wonderful 7 and a Hal year relationship I witnessed the hardest working and most driven woman in her business and amazing mummy to Betsy."
Eddie then finished the post with a string of hashtags: "#Never stops, #Upmostrespect #internationalwomensday."
In January, actress Denise released a short statement confirming she and Eddie were over.
Following news of the split, rumours have swirled that Denise ended things after discovering a series of messages to other women on Eddie's phone.
