Parenting is a tough nut to crack, for which there doesn’t exist a specific way. While parenting looks different for everyone, it looks equally different for children of different age groups. While bringing up toddlers is tough in its own way, parenting teenagers is one of the most complicated things to do. American actress and television personality Denise Richard’s statement about bringing up her seventeen year old daughter is proof of the same. In a recent interview, she revealed that her relationship with her daughter is quite strained as of now. Denise got married to American actor Charlie Sheen in 2002. It was her second marriage and the couple have two daughters together. The marriage lasted four years and their eldest daughter Sami Sheen, has now moved in with her father Charlie Sheen and is not on great terms with her mother. She hinted at the possibility of things smoothening out in the near future but also that things are rough in the present.
Teenagers are complicated individuals who are at a crucial stage of their life. In the middle of adulthood and childhood, teenage is like a road to adulthood on which physical, mental and emotional turbulences lead to development. The time is challenging as well as unique for people going through it and because of excessive hormonal changes and spurts, teenagers can end up becoming excessively rebellious and difficult.
