Gomes on the payoff after a tough camp
“I feel really good. I feel like it’s a weight off my chest, and I’m really happy with this win. There’s always pressure against any opponent, but we went through a lot of stuff in this camp. You saw me jumping around backstage (after the win) – that was pure happiness.”
Gomes on what she wants next
“I’m like a bow and arrow. The more you pull back, the more it’s going to go forward. I’m happy I was able to put into practice a lot of things, and I’m just evolving and keep moving forward.”
