A new car wash is set to be built on the site of a former Ayrshire pub.
Mr Jiyar Ali Hashmi applied for planning permission to change use of vacant ground in Stevenston to a car wash facility.
And North Ayrshire Council chiefs have approved the plans at 32 Townhead Street, which was the Lonsdale Bar before it was demolished.
A total of 14 neighbours within 20 metres of the site boundary have been notified ahead of the works.
NAC have approved the plans subject to a number of conditions, including not operating outwith 9am-5pm and keeping noise levels as low as possible.
An approval note from the council read: "The proposal complies with the relevant provisions of the current adopted Local Development Plan and there are no other material considerations that indicate otherwise.
"This is determined following an assessment which has had regard to the provisions of the development plan, so far as material to the application, and to any other material considerations."
