Demetri Mitchell has completed his move to Easter Road as Hibernian kick in their plan for life after Martin Boyle.
The winger – who Record Sport exclusively revealed last week was on the radar of Shaun Maloney – has signed a two-and-a-half year deal after joining from Blackpool.
Mitchell began his career at Manchester United and made his top-team debut in the Premier League against Crystal Palace in 2017.
Loan spells followed at Hearts before a permanent switch to Blackpool.
Mitchell is Hibs’ sixth signing of the January window and Maloney said: “I’m delighted to sign Demetri. He brings excellent attributes in different positions and will help us in both attacking and defensive situations.
“As a player, he brings real technical quality and outstanding speed, particularly in one vs one situations. My staff and I look forward to working with him.”
