The Arizona Cardinals had a head coaching interview lined up with San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator DeMeco Ryans. He is one of eight candidates the team is considering to replace Kliff Kingsbury, whom the team fired after a 4-13 2022 season.
However, that interview did not happen.
According to Jay Glazer, Ryans had four interviews lined up Saturday. He made it through his interviews with the Denver Broncos and Houston Texans, but then canceled the two remaining with the Cardinals and Indianapolis Colts so he could spent time with his team preparing for the game Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys.
What is unknown from the report is whether he completely canceled or simply postponed and rescheduled them.
