Demand Concerns Weigh on Sugar Prices

May NY world sugar #11 (SBK25) today is down -0.35 (-1.93%), and August London ICE white sugar #5 (SWQ25) is down -9.00 (-1.75%).

Sugar prices today are sharply lower on demand concerns.  Green Pool Commodity Specialists said today that the volume of outstanding contracts in NY May sugar futures that expire on Wednesday indicates that delivery against those contracts will be sizable, a sign of weak sugar demand.
