Conor McGregor has been told to be happy with his own achievements instead of berating others after his recent social media outbursts.
Former two-weight champion McGregor took aim at UFC legend Michael Bisping whilst boasting about recently filming his Hollywood debut. McGregor labelled other fighters who are trying to get into the acting industry as "little twerps" and specifically targeted Bisping in the unprovoked attack.
“All these little twerps wannabe actors now,” McGregor wrote in the now-deleted tweet. “Little twerps, There’s Only One Mac Daddy. Bad to the bone but with a good heart. Action with Jake [Gyllenhaal] or rom com with Sarah Jessica [Parker]. Bisping, 'member that show you were in. Yeah, me neither.”
Bisping replied by warning McGregor to have his bodyguards around him the next time they see each other, which prompted the Irishman to reply with a threatening voice note welcoming a "war" between the two fighters.
Whilst speaking on on his Believe You Me podcast, Bisping said he doesn't understand why McGregor can't be happy with his own fame. "He's so f*****g deluded, he probably does fancy himself, which would be a mistake," Bisping said of his rival.
"We'll just leave it at that. I mean this is what I always say about Conor, he's a very famous, very wealthy man. I don't even follow Conor on social media, I don't interact with him or anything like that and he's just going to come out the blue and do stuff like that, I don't get it.
"Not just Conor, people that are in a very advantageous position in life and just feel the need to try and berate others' achievements. Have you not got enough going on in your life that you feel need to put other people down? Why not just be happy? Be happy that your'e doing a movie with Jake Gyllenhaal which is f***ing awesome, it's cool as f***. What is with the animosity, have a smile on your face, how about that?"

McGregor is one of the UFC's most decorated athletes and holds a number of records in the promotion, such as the quickest knockout in a title fight and the first fighter to hold belts in two different weight classes simultaneously. Despite this, McGregor has recently mocked his fellow fighters - such as Bisping - on Twitter as he continues to recover from the leg break he suffered last July.
The latest of now-deleted posts from McGregor, who is targeting a fighting return in the first quarter of 2023, showed him posing with several $100 notes in his hand. The Irishman shouted out Puerto Rican rapper Anuel in the bizarre caption of the post, citing the rapper's album 'Legends Never Die' and his "lethal song" which is titled 'McGregor'.
