Deliveroo offering last minute Mother’s Day gifts including wine, flowers and chocolates

Takeaway delivery giant Deliveroo are offering last minute gifts that can be delivered in as little as 20 minutes this Mother’s Day - and it’s not just pizza and chips either.

Whether it’s breakfast in bed or a present to unwrap in the morning, Deliveroo are giving customers the chance to order flowers, beauty sets, chocolates and fizz to be delivered straight to mum’s front door

It comes as last year, the company saw an 80 per cent rise in gift orders for Mother’s Day, from partners like Waitrose and BP.

A spokesperson for Deliveroo said, “We wanted to let customers know that we have their back with last-minute gift buying for mum this year. Customers can have the confidence that they can rely on Deliveroo to get a gift to mum’s door in as little as 20 minutes - and brighten her day with a smile. We wish mums across the UK a very happy Mother’s Day.”

From fizz to flowers, here are some of the gifts Brits can bag to avoid turning up to Sunday lunch empty handed on March 27.

Gin, Prosecco and Champagne

Whether it’s a glass of prosecco with breakfast or a gin and tonic in the garden post-afternoon tea, customers can treat their mum to a range of gins, proseccos and champagnes on-demand.

From Friday, March 25, Waitrose is offering their best-selling Prosecco at a third off, costing £7.99 instead of £11.95, or shop M&S Prosecco and rose £11 through BP .

Shoppers can also order their mum’s favourite tipple like Tanqueray London Dry Gin and Taittinger Brut Reserve NV from Waitrose , or Edinburgh Rhubarb and Ginger Gin from BP .

Nothing says “I love you” like a bouquet of fresh flowers. On Mother’s Day last year, flowers were the most ordered ‘last minute’ gift item on the Deliveroo app.

Breakfast

Sons and daughters can treat mum to a luxe breakfast in bed and a well-deserved lie-in this March 27, with brunch bundles and pastries available on the Deliveroo app.

Whole Foods is offering a Mother's Day Brunch bundle. on the app, where customers can get their hands on a range of breakfast and brunch items, from croissants, pancakes and chocolate strawberries, to bagels, smoked salmon and macaroons.

If you’re hoping to give mum the opportunity to feel relaxed and put her feet up, there’s a selection of beauty gifts that could help her feel rested and restored.
