Northern Railway has announced that train services will operate according to their normal schedules on Sunday, October 11, following cancellations and rescheduling on October 9 and 10 amid security arrangements for the Cockroach Janata Party's (CJP) planned protest in Delhi. Several trains were cancelled or rescheduled over the past two days after the party announced a demonstration against Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar. The proposed protest prompted traffic advisories and security-related measures around major railway stations in the national capital. Northern Railway said all train services would operate according to their regular schedules on October 11. The announcement comes after disruptions affected passengers travelling to and from Delhi over the weekend.
Indian Railways had decided to cancel Mail and Express trains scheduled to arrive at New Delhi and Hazrat Nizamuddin railway stations between 4 am and 2 pm on October 10, sources said.
