Delhi Police on Saturday evening rejected social media claims that Cockroach Janta Party leader Abhijeet Dipke was not informed about his grandmother's death while in detention, stating that he was promptly notified and offered assistance to travel to his hometown for the funeral.
"Several social media handles are claiming that as Sh. Abhijeet Dipke is in detention, he has not been informed about the demise of his grandmother. In this regard, it is being clarified that the information regarding the demise of Abhijeet’s grandmother was promptly conveyed to him with due sensitivity," the official X handle of the department said in a post.
