Delhi is under a heightened security alert as the capital prepares to host top world leaders for the 18th BRICS Summit at Bharat Mandapam this weekend, with thousands of security personnel deployed and temporary traffic restrictions expected across key routes.
Around 15,000 Delhi Police personnel, 200 companies of paramilitary forces and more than 500 CCTV cameras have been deployed as part of the security arrangements for the two-day summit beginning Saturday.
