When you think of a first time riding public transport in a big city, you probably imagine confusion, crowds, noise and chaos. But that’s not what one foreign traveller experienced when he took his first ride on the Delhi Metro, and he can’t stop talking about it online. A video he shared on Instagram about his trip has gone viral because he genuinely seems blown away by what he saw.
Rory Porter, who has about 15,000 followers on Instagram, posted a clip of himself taking the Delhi Metro for the first time. He’s travelled to India before, but this was his first experience of the city’s most popular public transport system. Right from the start, he was struck by how smooth everything felt, starting with the security checks that remind him of an airport, where bags go through an X‑ray machine before you can enter the platform area.
