NEW DELHI: Continuing his field inspections, lieutenant governor Vinai Kumar Saxena on Saturday travelled along the entire 57km length of the Nazafgarh drain, starting at Chhawla and Dhansa on the Haryana border, where it originates, up to Wazirabad in north Delhi where it empties into the Yamuna.
Saxena is probably the first LG of Delhi who travelled along the drain. He was accompanied by chief secretary Naresh Kumar and officials of the irrigation and flood control department, Delhi Jal Board and Municipal Corporation of Delhi.
