NEW DELHI: The Central Ground Water Board (CGWB) is aiming to strengthen its existing network of hydrograph monitoring stations for a better assessment of the situation of groundwater in Delhi, officials have said.
The CGWB has sought the installation of 109 new piezometers across the city, which for now have an “uneven distribution” of hydrograph network stations, they said. At present, the national capital has around 111 monitoring stations of which there are 21 dugwells and 90 piezometers spread over an area of 1,483 sq km.
