NEW DELHI: The 120-bedded de-addiction centre at Tihar Jail has proven to be a boon for prisoners. In the past three years, more than 12,000 inmates have received treatment there.
An officer said the centre was a part of the hospital in jail number three. According to data accessed by TOI, in 2019 as many as 3,441 inmates were admitted, 4,379 in 2020, and last year 4,472 prisoners got treatment.
