NEW DELHI: With the face mask mandate back in force in the national capital following an uptick in the number of daily Covid-19 cases being reported, district authorities have geared up to carry out awareness and enforcement drives.
What makes the work challenging for the district administration is that with almost all restrictions removed by the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), crowding in public places is higher compared with two months ago. Also, with the fine on not wearing a face mask in public places being removed for around three weeks, creating awareness about the need to wear masks and the fines is a challenge too.
