Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal to hold farmers’ rally in Bengaluru

BENGALURU: Arvind Kejriwal, Delhi chief minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener, is scheduled to participate in a political rally of the party’s Karnataka unit besides farmers on April 21 at the National College grounds, Basavanagudi.

AAP members say they expect about 40,000 people to participate in the rally, including a sizeable number of farmers. A faction of the Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha is likely to attend.

Kejriwal’s visit to the state comes as AAP is preparing for BBMP elections and next year’s assembly elections. He will share insights on how common people can create a “revolution” that was created through AAP in Delhi and Punjab, and how it can be replicated in Karnataka, said Prithvi Reddy, AAP Karnataka convener.
