A Delhi-bound IndiGo Dreamliner aircraft returned to London Heathrow early Wednesday due to a technical issue, according to a source.
The Boeing 787-9 aircraft, operating the flight 6E4 from London Heathrow to Delhi, was airborne for around an hour before turning back, as per the information available on flight tracking website Flightradar 24.com.

An IndiGo flight from London to New Delhi returned to Heathrow Airport early Wednesday after a technical issue was detected shortly after take-off. The aircraft landed safely, and the airline has sent it for maintenance checks.
The Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner was operating flight 6E 04 from London Heathrow to Delhi. Flight-tracking website Flightradar24 showed that the aircraft was in the air for around an hour before turning back.

IndiGo in a statement said the pilots decided to return to Heathrow in line with standard operating procedures after the issue was detected on September 22.
The aircraft landed safely and is undergoing maintenance checks.The airline said the aircraft would resume operations after receiving the necessary clearances.
The flight took off at around 12.40 am IST on Wednesday and returned to Heathrow at approximately 2 am, according to Flightradar24.
