Delhi NCR people are complaining of choking and 'eye burning' sensation, news agency ANI reported on Thursday. The smog and air pollution has left people gasping for fresh air breath, it added. Pollution has surged in the national capital city days after Diwali.
The Air Quality Index (AQI) in Delhi was at 364 in the early morning of Thursday. Unfavorable meteorological conditions with slower wind speed coupled with farm stubble burning are said to be the prime reasons behind Delhi air pollution.
