Dejan Kulusevski has stated that he took no offence to Antonio Conte's comments in his post-match press conference following the 3-3 draw at Southampton. Throwing away a two-goal lead late in the contest, the Spurs head coach hit out at his players and labelled them as "selfish" and claimed that they "don't want to help each other and don't put their heart [in]".
Following his explosive words, Conte's position as Tottenham head coach is now on the line and it appears that his stay in north London could be coming to an early end. Now away from Hotspur Way on international duty with Sweden, Kulusevski was asked by Sky Sports about Conte and he gave his thoughts on what happened at St Mary's after the game.
"No, because I know what I bring to the team every day," said the Swede when asked if he took offence to the comments. "I know that I prepare myself to do as good as I can and that's why I can always look myself in the mirror.

"Sometimes I know I don't play good enough and I can take responsibility for that but what he said is for him and that's his words. I respect him and he helped me a lot during my career, so he's still a very important man in our club and in my world."
Tottenham teammate Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg was also pushed on Conte's words in his post-match press conference when speaking on Denmark duty on Monday and he called on the head coach to be more open with the players.
"I don't know," said Kulusevski when the Dane's comments were put to him. "He [Conte] was very disappointed as was us players. We have to accept that. We lost all the cups and went out in the Champions League also.
"I know sometimes we have to be sad and angry and that's how he took it. Somebody else would take it another way. We have to respect his words."
When asked if he is happy to keep working with Conte, Kulusevski added: "Yeah, absolutely."
