Anyone who has dreamt about their wedding envisions the perfect day. Planning that day, on the other hand, is another story. Ensuring everything is in order and goes right can become extremely overwhelming. Inevitably, mistakes can happen beyond one’s control.
Sometimes, the pressure is extremely immense, turning a blushing bride into a stressed-out one. When a Publix didn’t have this Florida couple’s cake, it didn’t just rain on the bride’s wedding day parade; it poured to the point she crashed out.
What did Publix do with the cake?
In a video with over 332,000 views, groom-to-be Mark (@jonesgotjokes) films himself sitting in his car with his pitbull.
“So, I’m chilling in the car with Logan here. We’re in the Publix parking lot,” he says. “My wife, who is in her wedding dress, just found out that Publix doesn’t have our cake ready that she ordered 7 days ago and paid for.”
He says she discovered this by checking the cake’s status. “She just logged into her account, and they’re like, ‘oops. There was a problem on our end,’” he shares. Needless to say, his bride is furious.
“I offered her to go in there with her and she was like, ‘I don’t want you to see this,” the content creator shares. Fearing her wrath, Mark concludes by wishing Publix employees luck. “Godspeed, Publix workers,” he concluded.
Viewers were instantly hooked

Since many were invested, they demanded an update.
“Bestie, did she get the cake? How many employees did she make cry? Also, congratulations,” one commenter wrote.

What did Publix do?
Because viewers begged for an update, Mark obliged. “I know you guys desperately want an update on the Publix wedding cake situation,” he says in a follow-up video.
After his wife called out the employees about the cake, the Publix employees checked on it. As it turned out, the cake was good to go. However, a glitch on the supermarket chain’s end failed to notify her.
“The cake was ready. So, Publix did a good job. Their app screwed up,” he shares. Because of the technological error, the couple ended up with two wedding cakes. “They gave her a free cake. So, we got two cakes, and everything was really cool,” the content creator.
Since the original clip went viral, Mark decided to show it to his wife. When she glanced at the hashtags, her excitement turned to anger. “She looks at the post and she goes, ‘You tagged it bridezilla? You called me a bridezilla on our wedding day?’” he mimics in a tone seething with rage. He wrapped up the video by amending the hashtag he wrote.
“So, I’m here to tell she’s not a bridezilla,” he concluded.
