Defence pact to build PNG links without the brain drain

Australia and Papua New Guinea have been urged to prevent a brain drain as the nations look to deepen co-operation between their militaries under a new defence treaty.

Defence Minister Richard Marles started negotiations on the treaty with his PNG counterpart Billy Joseph in Brisbane on Thursday.
