Decomposing bodies found in mortuary at scandal-hit NHS trust

Inspectors who visited Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust in March found eight bodies in advanced decomposition due to a lack of freezer space - (PA Archive)

Bodies in the mortuary at the scandal-hit NHS trust were found in “advanced deterioration” due to not being transferred to a freezer in time, inspectors have found.

The report also found a risk of the wrong bodies being released to funeral services.
