Declan Rice spotted asking Martin Odegaard to sign Arsenal shirt as fans pray for transfer hint

Declan Rice has been spotted asking Martin Odegaard to sign an Arsenal shirt after West Ham’s 2-2 draw with the Gunners.

Footage from beIN Sports showed the Hammers midfielder chatting to his counterpart behind the scenes at London Stadium on Sunday, after both starred in the thrilling Premier League encounter.

Arsenal fans online were quick to point out their hope that the moment was an indication of Rice’s potential desire to move across London amid talk of a summer transfer.

However, the most likely scenario is that the England international wanted Odegaard’s shirt added to his esteemed collection of football shirts.

Rice’s home is decorated in framed kits from heroes including Cristiano Ronaldo, Yaya Toure, Alan Shearer and John Terry.

Writing in the matchday programme ahead of Sunday’s game, he revealed his admiration for a number of Arsenal players particularly from the national team.

"I obviously know a few of their players from England and they are not only top-class on the pitch but good boys off it - but of course those friendships will go out the window when we kick-off today,” wrote Rice.
