Dec Donnelly says Sue Cleaver made I'm A Celeb first as she was voted out of camp

Coronation Street's Sue Cleaver was the latest star to be sent packing from camp on Monday night.

And as the actress, 59, left the jungle and made her way for her exit interview, host Declan Donnelly told Ant McPartlin Sue had done an I'm A Celebrity first.

Dec said, as Sue jubilantly skipped over to them, he'd never seen "anyone do that" before.

Speaking to Ant and Dec, Sue spoke of her relief at coming out of camp as she felt she had done as much as she could.

The actress, who was the third star to be evicted, said: "My time is done. Yes I am done! It is lovely watching it back, those guys are amazing. Camp life I have loved, but you can stuff your trials where the sun don't shine frankly."

She continued: "I had enough and hit a wall, it is the anxiety and not knowing and not having control over your life. That is so weird."

And when asked who she wanted to win, she said: "I am going for the girl, I am going for Jill (Scott). She is an absolute trooper, a beautiful human being and she should have a career as a supermodel."

Sue, who has played Eileen Grimshaw on the cobbles since 2000, said she had not planned to talk about her adoption as she spoke to Good Morning Britain on Tuesday.

"I have been quite private, I have never spoken about that out of respect for everyone, but I felt so comfortable in there with those people and Emma and Kate, my brother and my mum said ‘say whatever you feel, what you’re happy to feel’, so I did," she said.

Sue added of her stint in the show: "You are literally looking at the sun and trying to figure out what time of day it is and where the sun is in the sky, you’ve lost all track of time, you’re sleep deprived, you don’t know what time you’re going to bed, you don’t know what time you’re getting up, so it’s very disorientating and I don’t think you realise that when you watch the show.

"I mean, I’ve watched the show from the beginning, I’ve been the best armchair critic there could be but until you’re actually in there it’s hard, it’s a really hard slog."
