Debchandrima Singha Roy is bouncing back to her ‘Bombay Dreams’! The actress is debuting in her first Hindi TV show ‘Suhagan Chudail’. The teaser for the new show is out and is already garnering a lot of attention. Debchandrima will be seen essaying the character of Diya in ‘Suhagan Chudail’. The show stars popular Hindi actress Nia Sharma in the titular role. However, ETimes has learnt, Debchandrima will be portraying the parallel lead on the show.
Talking to ETimes, Debchandrima said, “My character’s name in ‘Suhagan Chudail’ is Diya. She hails from a small village in Rajasthan but she is quite educated and doesn’t place her beliefs in superstitions. However, the story of her mother’s death questions her belief sometimes.” Debchandrima adds, “Diya falls in love with a guy and incidentally Suhagan Chudail is chasing the same guy to achieve immortality for herself. So it’s basically a face-off between two women and how they navigate their ways.”
