Police are treating the death of a woman in Ayr as unexplained.
They are now investigating the 58-year-old's passing after being called to a property in the town's Noltmire Road yesterday morning.
Officers remain on the scene today with a cordon in place.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 9am on Thursday, 19 May, police were called to a property on Noltmire Road, Ayr, following the death of a 58-year-old woman.
"The death is currently being treated as unexplained at this time, pending further enquiries.
"A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.
"Officers will remain at the scene, as enquiries continue.”
