Pauline Denise Grant passed away in the Dove Court Nursing Home, Burnley on Thursday, December 29, aged 75 years. Born in Salford March 21, 1947. She moved to Haslingden with her young family in the late 70s after emigrating to Canada.
Pauline trained as a State Registered Nurse at Hope Hospital, nursing at Accrington Victoria, Queen’s Park and Rossendale General before re-training as a midwife in the early 80s. Following early retirement due to ill health, Pauline enjoyed knitting, sewing, crafts and card making.
However, family was most important to Pauline. She leaves behind her daughter Lisa and husband Grahame, daughter Samantha and husband Mark, grandchildren Natasha and Charlie, who were the light of her life, sister Patricia and her husband Roy, nephews and nieces.
Pauline’s funeral cortege will leave from the Forest View Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 17, for service and cremation at Accrington Crematorium at 12.20pm.
