Okta (OKTA) is heading into one of the important dates on its 2026 calendar. The identity security company will open Oktane 2026 in Las Vegas on Sept. 22, putting its push into AI agent security in front of customers, partners, and investors. The timing is notable because OKTA stock has already surged more than 120% year-to-date (YTD), leaving the market with high expectations heading into the event.
Needham added to that momentum on Monday by raising its price target to $230 from $200 and keeping its “Buy” rating. The bigger question now is whether Oktane can show that AI agent identity and governance are becoming a meaningful source of growth. With the stock trading at a premium valuation, evidence of adoption could matter more than the conference headlines themselves for investors.
