Folks, they’re not sending their best. MAGA has a hard-won reputation for being intensely gullible, something practically mandatory if you’re swallowing Donald Trump’s endless, obvious lies.
But Laura Loomer is a cut above when it comes to dog-brained stupidity, something ably proven by her falling for one of the oldest gags in the book. Yesterday Polymarket posted that the mayor-elect of New York City, Zohran Mamdani, is going to require that all New York elementary school students learn… Arabic numerals.

Loomer was instantly on the case, replying: “You know things are bad when you can’t tell if this is a real or a joke. Dear God. It’s Real. Isn’t it?” To her credit, Loomer is correct. New York elementary school students will indeed be forced to learn Arabic numerals.
If you’re as mad about this as Loomer is, then I’ve got some shocking news that’s going to blow your mind. You may want to be sitting down for this one. You – yes, you – were also forced to learn Arabic numerals.
You know… morons.
That’s because, as I really hope you’ve figured out by now, Arabic numerals are… numbers. Y’know, 6, 7, and so on. These were developed during the Islamic Golden Age and had spread into Europe by the 10th century, going on to be widely adopted after the printing press was invented in the 15th century.
Calling numbers “Arabic numerals” is an old joke, like calling water the dangerous sounding “dihydrogen monoxide”. But that just makes it all the funnier that Loomer fell for it. She was clearly embarrassed by her goof, deleting her original post and replacing it with “You know things are bad when you can’t tell if this is real or a joke.”
But Loomer isn’t alone in her idiocy. Inexplicably popular streamer Asmongold also reacted with horrified disbelief to this ‘news’:

If there’s a moral here, it’s that racism makes already dumb people even dumber. If these people’s minds were so gunked up with hate, they’d simply look up what “Arabic numerals” are, rather than their brains sounding the alarm at the word “Arabic” and instinctively leaping towards outrage.
We can’t wait to see their incandescent rage when they learn that Zohran Mamdani will also ensure that all children are successfully indoctrinated into woke math when their liberal teachers force them to learn about non-binary numbers!
