Norwich City boss Dean Smith believes his side can cause Liverpool problems this weekend and insists the club cannot afford to to view the game as a free hit.
The two sides meet at Anfield on Saturday as Jurgen Klopp ’s side get back on home turf following their 2-0 away win against Inter Milan on Wednesday, the Reds’ seventh consecutive win in all competitions.
Norwich, meanwhile, were handed a 4-0 defeat by Manchester City last time out and face the daunting task of facing the league’s two top teams back-to-back, while sitting 18th in the table.
Despite the odds being stacked against the Canaries, Smith is optimistic about his side's chances - but admits that Liverpool will be “very difficult to stop” if Norwich can’t cut out the errors in their game.

"We knew Manchester City and Liverpool were going to be two really tough games for us," the Norwich boss said in his pre-match press conference.
"We reviewed the Manchester City game and there were a lot of mistakes made.
"I was disappointed with the manner of the goals we conceded. We have to limit those mistakes now.
"All the goals we conceded were preventable. That's something we have to do against Liverpool, limit our mistakes.”
Smith continued: "They've got quality all over the pitch and that's why both teams are the top teams in the world.
"We know we can go and give them a match, we know we've got the quality to cause them problems. But we certainly have to limit our mistakes."
Liverpool have already recorded two wins over Norwich this season, having overcome the East Anglian side 3-0 in their opening game of the season and repeating the scoreline in the Carabao Cup.

Jurgen Klopp said ahead of the match that he admired Norwich’s continued belief that they can survive relegation - and Smith has shared his mutual respect for the Reds.
Speaking about Liverpool’s hard-fought win in the Champions League, the former Aston Villa manager praised the performance but is adamant that his side cannot be overawed by the challenge they face at Anfield.
"I watched Liverpool during the week, along with my coaching staff. It was a really good game to watch and they found a way to win,” he said.
"They've certainly got a will to win at the football club. They got a really good result.
"People talked before Manchester City and Liverpool saying we had a free hit. We haven't got any free hits, there's only 14 games to go.
"Every game is a big game for us and an opportunity to go and get some points. What's important for us is after 38 games, we are out of that bottom three.
"I firmly believe we're capable and have the quality to do that."
