A whale has been found washed up on the Firth of Clyde shoreline.
Footage taken by Christopher Mcvey showed the animal on the beach at Stevenston.
Sharing it on Facebook, hundreds responded to the sad sight with shock.

The dead animal, which appears to be a minke whale, seems to have an injury by its tail. It is not known how long the whale was there before it was discovered.
Christopher told Glasgow Live it was the second time he had spotted a whale on the beach while walking his dogs.
