KOLKATA: Victoria Memorial Hall has entered into a collaboration with Kala Bhavana at Visva-Bharati to infuse life into dead trees by transforming them into sculptures that are in sync with the environment.
The fortnight-long project from April 1 to 15 will involve 10 Kala Bhavana students — present and past — under the guidance of two teachers: sculpture department head Sutani Chatterjee and painting department associate professor Sanchayan Ghosh. The project has been ratified by the cultural ministry.
