Dead man in dickey identified, but suspects confound cops

NAGPUR: The cops have identified the murdered man, whose naked decomposed body was found in a car’s dickey at the scrapyard of one Naushad Shah near Pahelwanbaba dargah on April 15. However, the cops are nowhere close to solving the mystery of who murdered 34-year-old Kartik Shelokar, a resident of Vijay Nagar in Kalamna.

Sources said Shelokar, who was said to be mentally disturbed, had been admitted at Mayo Hospital on April 11 with complaints of some stomach ailment. The next day, he had escaped from Mayo Hospital after a fight and scuffle with his aunt. She had tried to look for him some time and then lodged a missing complaint at Tehsil police station on April 12.
