New Delhi: Swati Maliwal, the Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) chairperson, has been nominated by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) as its newest Rajya Sabha MP. The Party has to nominate three people for the Rajya Sabha seats that are falling vacant this month.

Besides, the AAP has decided to renominate  Sanjay Singh and N D Gupta for their second terms.

As allowed by a Delhi court on Thursday, Sanjay Singh signed his renomination documents from jail. Singh, who was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in a case related to the Delhi excise policy, is at present under judicial custody, reports Dynamite News correspondent.

The Party said Rajya Sabha MP Sushil Gupta expressed his desire to focus on electoral politics of Haryana. Sushil is the AAP in-charge of Haryana.

The Political Affairs Committee (PAC) of AAP announced the nominations on Friday.
