Nottingham Forest’s on loan midfielder Lewis O’Brien is making an instant impression in America, prompting a three-word response from his loan club.
The 24-year-old joined Major League Soccer team DC United last month after a loan move to Championship side Blackburn Rovers was blocked by the EFL due to paperwork being submitted after the deadline. He moved to America in search for more game time after being left out of Forest's Premier League squad.
The move to America sees O’Brien link up with former Derby County player and manager Wayne Rooney. The Forest man was straight into the starting XI for his debut earlier this month in a 2-0 loss against Columbus.

He was back in the line-up for a second game in a row over the weekend, and scored the only goal of the game early in the second half to get his team all three points. The midfielder was on hand at the back post to put the ball into an almost empty net after a shot from his teammate rebounded off the post.
In reporting the goal on their official twitter account, DC United celebrated with a simple three word message that read: “Lewis Freaking O'Brien.” They have since shared replays of what turned out to be the winning goal.
O’Brien replied himself to a tweet from the club which read “Lewis’ first MLS goal,” with a message reading: “Hopefully the first of many.”
The midfielder’s move away from the City Ground came just six months after a move from Championship side Huddersfield Town. The player failed to establish himself in Steve Cooper ’s line-up in the Premier League, and was subsequently left out of the Premier League squad for the second half of the season when it looked like a loan move to Blackburn was on the cards.
