A procession of 110 tractors lit up with fairy lights and Christmas decorations made its way through Liverpool tonight.
The streets were lined with well-wishers who had turned out to catch a glimpse of the rare sight. This is the third year the Liverpool Tractor Convoy has taken place ahead of Christmas, to raise money for Alder Hey Children's Charity.
Local farmer Olly Harrison, organises the convoy each year, having been inspired by a similar event on the Isle of Mann. A total of 110 tractors were adorned with twinkling lights and Christmas decorations for the convoy, which started at 6pm and took in the Childwall Fiveways, Alder Hey, Stanley Park, the Strand and more.

Olly said: “Last year we raised £65,000 and this year we want to raise more than that, so let’s see if we can get to £100,000. We’re also going to do a food bank drop at Stanley Park, for fans supporting food banks.”
How to make a donation: People wanting to make a donation can do so on the Festive Farmers Just Giving page or by texting TRACTOR to 70450. Money raised goes to Alder Hey Children's Charity, which funds life-saving equipment and research to help patients and families across the UK.
