Dawand Jones injured knee vs. Jaguars; doesn’t practice Wednesday

Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski announced that Dawand Jones would not practice with the team on Wednesday after injuring his knee in the win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.

During his bounce back performance in Jacksonville, he apparently injured his knee and could affect his status to play this Sunday. Jones was able to finish the matchup against the Jaguars in Week 2 and it’s unclear when exactly the injury occurred.

Coach Stefanski did not provide much detail on how long Dawand Jones could be out for or which knee he hurt. Based on the limited information, the extent of this injury this may be fresh news to the Browns head coach.

The Browns offensive line room has struggled with injuries to begin the season. In a time when they need it most, Browns starting right tackle Jack Conklin is in line to make his first start of the season against the Giants this weekend.

If Dawand Jones is unable to play, the Browns will do everything they can to get Conklin ready to make his 2024 debut.
