NEW DELHI: The grass court at the Delhi Gymkhana – on expected lines – was playing low and fast, and the two Indians on show proved to be much superior against their ill-equipped Danish counterparts as India raced to a 2-0 lead against Denmark in their Davis Cup World Group 1 playoff tie on Friday.
Both Ramkumar Ramanathan and Yuki Bhambri were on song from the first point of their respective matches. Ramkumar, India's No.1 singles player, unleashed his big serve and skillful serve-and-volley game that his opponent Christian Sigsgaard had no answer to.
