Davina McCall has given fans a peek into her romantic life with new boyfriend Michael Douglas, as the pair have officially moved in together. The TV icon enjoyed her first Christmas with the hairdresser this year, after shacking up last month.
The couple first went public with their romance back in 2019. The 55-year-old said she is enjoying couple life and creating new traditions with 48-year-old Douglas.
Speaking on their podcast, Making the Cut, the Masked Singer host explained: “I am quite enjoying as a new couple doing new things, because we are newly living together. It's quite nice making new traditions because we did that before Christmas, we sat down together and talked about it: ‘Ok, blank space, what shall we make tradition from now on?’.”
And it seems one of the first new traditions Davina and Michael decided to make is watching The King’s Speech on Christmas Day - with the TV host’s sister also jointing in on the regal appreciation. Davina revealed: “My granny and my dad were ardent royalists, my sister was an ardent royalist.
"I have to admit, I never really watched the Queen's Speech but I was really interested to watch the King's speech this year because it was the first one. I loved it because Rebecca stood up and did a salute because my dad would have done that and I loved her for that. I really liked watching it. Let's make it a new, living together tradition.”
Davina's happy love life is welcome news for her fans, following her divorce from second husband Matthew Robertson in 2017. And she Davina married the Pet Rescue presenter, 53, in 2000, but they split in 2017. They share three children together; daughters Holly, 21, and Tilly 19, and 16-year-old son Chester.
This week, Davina revealed she has hopes of reviving her ‘90s dating show Streetmate for an older generation. The iconic dating show was a big break for the star - and saw her running around streets in towns and cities across the UK looking for a single volunteer who she would then find another single passerby to go on a date with.
Speaking on a podcast called Spinning Plates, Davina said: “I would quite like to do Maturemate where I run around the streets and find somebody 45-plus and set them up with someone.”
In the same chat, she opened up about the next big documentary series she is planning to create. She said: “Next year, we are looking at doing a documentary on the Pill. There are so many different types, I don’t know what I’m talking about but I guess everybody will come on a journey to find out about it.”
She added: “Most women take the Pill willy nilly but in fact HRT is safer than the Pill on paper but everybody treats HRT like their nemesis but in fact we need to know more about the Pill."
