Brentford goalkeeper David Raya has delivered a fresh verdict on his transfer future after rejecting two new contracts from the Bees. Tottenham, Chelsea and Manchester United are all on the hunt for a new goalkeeper in the coming transfer windows, with Raya on the radar of all three clubs.
The willingness of the 27-year-old to seek a new challenge away from west London is well known with a major contract statement being given earlier this year. "I was offered a new contract last year and one in January, but we didn't reach an agreement," he added. "For now, a new contract is secondary. The most important thing is the team and the games. We'll see where we are in May."
That month Raya mentioned is just a few weeks away from beginning and thus an important decision awaits this summer. The Spaniard's contract at the Gtech Community Stadium expires in 2024, which presents Thomas Frank with a difficult dilemma.

Raya has proven to be one of the best goalkeepers in England this season and therefore it is highly unlikely Brentford will want to lose him. However, given his apparent desire to not extend terms before next summer, an exit being sanctioned for a fee appears on the cards.
In north London, Tottenham are looking for a Hugo Lloris successor with Raya one of many names linked. Further north at Manchester United, David de Gea is approaching the end of his tenure in red, with Raya seen as a possible replacement.
At Chelsea it is currently unclear whether or not Kepa Arrizabalaga has been chosen as the regular No. 1 going forward. The Blues being linked with Raya and other shot-stoppers such as Gregor Kobel and Giorgi Mamardashvili would indicate no such decision has been made yet.
Following his previous exit comments, Raya does not appear to have changed his stance on wanting to leave Brentford, revealing his desire to win football's biggest prizes.
"Obviously it’s nice to hear that clubs are after you and asking about you and looking for you," Raya told the Yours, Mine, Away! podcast.
"These clubs are the biggest in the world and every player wants to play for these clubs. I have a year left and I don’t know what will happen in the summer. I’ve said before that I’ve had two contracts that I’ve turned down because they weren’t the offers I was looking for.
"I want to push myself to the highest level to the Champions League, the Europa League and to win those trophies. I want to experience that and I’m at that stage in my footballing career."
